The United Way of Harrison County is getting ready to hold its annual dinner Thursday as it looks to reach its 2019 fundraising goal.
Exec. Dir. Tina Yoke says the United Way is a little more than 80 percent away from its goal with less than 48 hours until their deadline. But Yoke says every dollar counts and hopes donors can help the organization cross the finish line.
“Actually, all of Harrison County is counting on us reaching that goal because we provide valuable services to all of our community members,” Yoke said. “And we continue every single day to have new donors. We’ve had over 43 new donors this year with this campaign, so I just encourage anyone else whose thinking about it to go ahead and donate.”
Yoke says until the goal is reached, any donation received after the 28th will go toward the 2019 drive… and as soon as they reach that goal, donations will be applied to the 2020 campaign.
