The United Way of Harrison County hosted its first ‘Christmas in the Courtyard’ event Thursday evening on West Main Street.
This was held to bring the community together to celebrate the holidays, while raising awareness for the United Way.
Community members were able to enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, and christmas cookies, while caroling their favorite Christmas tunes.
This is the inaugural year for this event.
“So, hopefully five years from now, the entire courtyard will be filled with people and we look forward to it for years to come,” said Brad Rifee, community impact leader for the United Way of Harrison County.
Donations collected through the holidays go to 25 local non-profits that are funded by the United Way of Harrison County.
