The Vintage Barber Shop held a ribbon cutting for their new location in Clarksburg on Monday morning.

The business is located at 209 Fourth Street in Clarksburg, and is decorated with antique items that would usually be found in a barber shop of years gone by. The Vintage Barber Shop accepts walk-ins and is open Tuesday through Saturday.

Owner Justin Amos said it’s important to pay respects to old-fashioned barber shops.

“I started the Vintage Barber Shop years and years ago. My dad thought I was a fool, but I thought I had a great concept with it, cause it’s like the bygone days of barbering that people have forgotten. I think it’s very important for people to remember the tools of the trade and the things that barbers still use to this day throughout the years. It’s interesting to me…captivating,” Amos said.

Amos had a Vintage Barber Shop in Charleston for many years before moving to Harrison County.
