Wallace VFD receives $5,000 from Harrison County Commission’s ‘Community Improvement Fund’

Harrison

Harrison County Commission has a fund in place for community improvements.

The Wallace Volunteer Fire Department was the recipient of some of those funds on Wednesday.

The fire department received $5,000 from the fund to go towards new gear lockers in its newly constructed building.

The new building cost $250,000 and offers more space and new resources that the current fire department building doesn’t have.

The commission’s community improvement fund is from gambling revenue.
