The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced that there will be a traffic delay/lane closure at the intersection of Route 131 and I-79, Exit 125 (Saltwell Exit) in the Norhtbound and Southbound lanes.
This traffic delay/lane closure will last Monday, August 20 from 7:00 a.m. until Wednesday, August 22 at 6:00 p.m.
The reason for this delay is drilling for core bearings for design of the roadway
Alternate routes will be I-79, Exit 124 and Route 279.
Route 131 will be narrowed to a single lane periodically, while I-79, both Northbound and Southbound, will be shoulder work only. There will be no lane closures on I-79.
The Division of Highways advises drivers to plan ahead and allow additional time for their commute, and that inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances could change this project schedule.
