CHARLESTON, W.Va. – West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice read 74 new COVID-19 deaths during Wednesday’s virtual COVID-19 briefing.
The governor also reported a new state record for COVID patients in ICUs(298) in hospitals around the state.
With that in mind, Gov. Justice reminded state residents that booster shots are now available to people who got the Pfizer vaccines. “We need a run on the bank(for boosters),” Justice said, explaining that the boosters will help hospitals, which “are doing all they can do,” he said.
Justice also went on to say, “if you’re a parent, I don’t see how in the world you don’t get you kids vaccinated.”
