Davis Medical Center hosted a no-cost physician office visit day Tuesday at the DMC outpatient family practice clinic.  Visits include a comprehensive physical including primary care, health education and financial counseling.

The visits were designed to serve people who have not seen a physician in more than a year, are uninsured or underinsured and get them connected with a primary care physician.

“We need to be able to get people hooked up with primary care doctors so that they can start the path to wellness earlier.  We don’t want to wait until somebody is very ill before we see them the first time,” said Chief Medical Officer Dr. Catherine Chua.

The no-cost clinic is part of Davis Medical Center’s PACE program aimed to help patients access low-cost care, get quotes for services, understand payment options, save money and find assistance programs available for varied needs.
