United Hospital Center will hold its ‘Gifts of Light’ program on December 13 at the Hospice Memorial Garden at the Veteran’s Park in Clarksburg.

The ceremony is a way for people who have lost a loved one to pay respect to them.

By donating a gift of $15 for a seasonal light in the garden, the donation goes to support care of the terminally ill and their families in Barbour, Doddridge, Harrison, Lewis, Marion, Monongalia, Taylor, Upshur and Wetzel counties.

“When you see the tree light up or in years past they have had little flowers that light up and they have a candle lighting ceremony and it is just really a great way to come and  remember your loved one and just look back at all the memories past of holidays  that you were able to spend with them,” said Natasha Delaney, registered nurse.

‘Gifts of Light’ starts at 6 p.m. December 13 at the People’s Hospice Memorial Garden.
