Joe R. Pyle Auction and Realty Service host estate auction of Marvin Wotring

BUNNER RIDGE, W.Va – Joe R. Pyle Auction and Realty Service hosted an estate auction of the late Marvin Wotring Friday evening.  

The auction was housed in the Sagebrush Auditorium located in Bunner Ride in Marion County. Joe R. Pyle Auction and Real Estate say that Worting was best known for making the WVU Mountaineer Muzzleloader. There were more than 600 lots up for auction.  

“We look at this auction as a perpetuation of Marvin’s legacy. We’ve had a lot of interest from people who are interested in the things that Marvin was interested in. He was a great supporter of the Preston County Buckwheat Festival, Friends of the NRA, WVU Rifle Team,” said Ethan Moore, Assistant General Manager of  

There were 130 guns of Wotring’s up for auction, 12 of which were made by him and one made by his wife Barbra. Lucky bidders walked away with pieces of Wotrings legacy.
