Justice Armstead speaks to Braxton County students

A West Virginia Supreme Court justice appeared back at his own high school Tuesday afternoon.

Justice Tim Armstead was at Braxton County High School in Flatwoods Tuesday to speak with senior civics classes there.

It’s part of an effort to educate the state on the supreme Court’s role and responsibilities by speaking with them directly.

“The justices have been trying to get out and sort of share a little bit about what the court does, and sort of open the doors to the court a little bit more to our students and to people throughout our state, not just our students,” said Armstead.

Armstead spoke in three classes during the afternoon and took questions from students in each one.
