Lewis County’s Jamboree at the Mill began Sunday.

The week-long event started with a paint party this afternoon, and featured the first two animal shows.

Poultry and rabbits were shown Sunday evening.

The poultry show featured a sibling rivalry of sorts, between Allison and Kassie White.

Both displayed their chickens in the Master Division and Master Pens.

For the second year in a row, Allison came out on top in the Poultry Showmanship Master Division.

“They were judging this time off which bird was best kept and cared for. And that’s why I won, because mine was better cared for. It was a hard judge on the last one, because it’s based off who has more meat compared to muscle,” said Allison.

Animal shows continue through the week, continuing with horses and pigs Monday, steers, calves and heifers Tuesday, with goats, sheep and lambs on Wednesday.

Canning, flower, and vegetable shows will also be at the barn area through the week.
