A local health department is working to find out what its residents think are the biggest priorities for its community.
The Lewis County Health Department is teaming up with officials from Gilmer County and Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital for a community health assessment survey.
The form asks residents to name the most important health challenges they see to give health departments a chance to tackle those issues.
“From that, then we can apply for grants and get additional funding so we can help and try to correct those problems in our community,” said LCHD Nurse Crystal Lough.
The form is available online or in paper form at the Lewis County Health Department. Contact them at (304) 269-8218.
