A new pharmacy in Weston is making both services and prescriptions available to more people in the area.

The pharmacy in the Community Care location on Route 33 in Weston opened last week after moving to the location from West Milford. The location is a partnership with WVU Medicine and United Hospital Center, and also offers a program to help people afford their medication, something staff said is a need in the area.

“Some people just can’t afford their medication otherwise, so when they have that opportunity to come to a provider and get that access, it does provide a great need,” said pharmacist Andrew Shay.

The pharmacy works with both acute and chronic care providers at the clinics to ensure patients have the best care possible when receiving medication.
