A Lewis County fire department will be getting some much-needed equipment upgrades thanks to a grant from a restaurant chain.
The Pricetown Volunteer Fire Department will be receiving almost $12,000 from Firehouse Subs to purchase new supply line, as well as new valves and nozzles for their engine.
Firefighters said every bit of help goes a long way to supporting their mission.
“Grants are actually becoming less for the fire service than what they was, and just by being able to get the much needed updates for equipment to protect and serve the community means really a lot,” said Pricetown VFD Captain Matt Collins.
The Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation funds the grant.
