Saturday was the eleventh annual Stonewall Jackson Triathlon at Stonewall Resort.
The race featured competitors from ten different states and all around West Virginia.
Racers started with a 1,000-meter swim in the Stonewall Jackson Lake, a 26-mile bike ride and then a four-mile run through the resort.
The race took the quickest competitors nearly two hours to complete.
“It’s a great event to showcase our community and our area. and often times the athletes and participants come back with their families for vacation,” said Sherry Rogers, Executive Director of the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce.
It rained during much of the bike portion of the competition but that didn’t seem to slow any of the racers down.
