One veteran in Taylor County got a huge surprise Monday afternoon.
Aaron Edison went to a Veteran’s Day Bar-B-Que Cook-Out at “Toothman Ford” in Grafton, where he won a new Ford Truck.
He says he never dreamed he’d be driving home in a new F-150.
“I had no idea. I was thinking a small camera or something like that to honor veterans and I would have been totally happy with that,” said veteran, Aaron Edison. “This just totally blowed me out of the water, no idea, so very surprised and very happy.”
“Our idea was to have the Bar-B-Que just for the veterans and that type of thing just to say thank you and the more we thought about it, our staff thought we really want to something special for the veterans in our community for all that they have given to us. So we came up with the idea of giving a truck away.” said Toothman Ford Vice President, J.R. Toothman.
Edison spent 20 years in the Air Force and three years in the West Virginia Army National Guard.
