14th Annual MountainFest kicks off in Monongalia County

Monongalia and Preston

The 14th annual MountainFest kicked off at Mylan Park in Morgantown with something for everyone to enjoy.

More than 60,000 people are expected to take part in the celebrations. Thousands of those come out Friday evening to hear Bret Michaels perform some of his hits. Three venues will provide music for the crowds all weekend. Motrocyle from far and wide will be traveling on the highways and byways.

“It’s a blast to be up there, this close and this personal with the artist instead of a big coliseum, to be able to walk up close to them and actually enjoy a show with them,” said Shawn Turner, a resident of Seneca Rocks.

Music performances this weekend will be hosted at the main stage, the Coal Bucket Saloon and at Triple S Harley Davidson. The event includes opportunities to check out vendors and of course the motorcycles as well. If you missed Friday’s festivities you can still join in on the fun through Sunday night.
