2nd annual WVU Day of Giving to be held on Wednesday

Monongalia and Preston

The second annual WVU Day of Giving is being held on Wednesday.

On this day, individuals are encouraged to donate to the university during a 24 hour online fundraising effort designed to raise money for the university’s greatest priorities.

The first $50,000 raised during the day of giving will be matched dollar for dollar for an extra $50,000.

Last year’s Day of Giving brought in nearly 3 million dollars from over 2,500 donors across the globe.

“It was a great way for folks to express support for the university through a monetary contribution. And we wanted to do it again. We had such great success last year, and we’re very confident that we’ll again have success during our second annual WVU Day of Giving,” said Bill Nevin, the WVU Foundation.
