The 56th Annual Mon Health Medical Center Ball of the Year was held Saturday night in Morgantown.

A crowd over well over 600 people gathered at the Mariott Hotel for the ball. This year’s theme was a “Dinner at Tiffany’s”.

Along with mingling with business owners and community members, those in attendance could bid on various items as part of a silent auction. A few items were so big they required a live auction.

Proceeds from the dance and auctions are going towards Mon Health continuing to upgrade its abilities.

“This year we are raising money for a plethysmograph, which, basically it tests the patient for pulmonary diseases. That machine and software lets the doctors know if that patient is a candidate for surgery,” said Jason Savage, Ball Chair.

Savage says that the machine is very cutting-edge. He also said that he’s not aware of anyone else in the tri-state area having the machine.
