For the 8th year, Cooper’s
The Coopers Rock Foundation puts on the event every year as a way to get the community out to the park during the winter months.
Outdoor activities were set up for guests as was some food around the fire.
Despite the lack of snow, guests could still get in some snowball target practice, participate in a winter tree ID hike or try their hand in the women’s frying pan toss.
“Our primary purpose of holding Winterfest is to get folks out to the forest to see the different types of recreation opportunities that coopers rock state forest offers in the off season. Cause there’s tons of stuff that you can do out here even when the weather’s not warm,” Jessica Harmening, Coopers Rock Foundation vice president.
The park has events coming up in the spring, including Irish road bowling in May
