Wednesday, stepping stones in Morgantown held its annual arts festival.
This is a free event for local school aged children with disabilities.
More than 600 children attended Wednesday, enjoying activities like painting, tie dying, and performing arts.
This was an opportunity for kids to be exposed to many different art forms.
“It’s just great. It’s a great opportunity for the kids to get out of the school, out of the classroom, and actually come in and do some hands on things. I know they do a lot of it in school, but this is just a way for them to experience different types of fine arts, as well as visual and performing arts to see if they might have a talent that is hidden, that we’ve just uncovered,” Monica Marietta, Executive Director of Stepping Stones.
Students traveled from Monongalia County and other surrounding counties for the event.
