Chestnut Ridge Church holds Easter services

Monongalia and Preston

Many Easter services were held across the area on Sunday, including Chestnut Ridge Church in the Cheat Lake area of Morgantown.

The church kicked off Easter with a Saturday evening service and also held a 9 and 11 am service on Sunday morning.

These are some of the most well attended services, along with Christmas.

The theme for the service this year was Breakthrough.

“It’s the type of breakthrough that deals with our past. A pardon for our past through Jesus Christ. It’s something that gives us power for the present, and then a promise for the future. Becuase we believe that since Jesus rose again from the dead, so will we, if we put our trust in him,” said Pastor Tim Haring of Chestnut Ridge Church.

Before and after the services , families were able to take photos at specially decorated Easter photo booths in the lobby.
