MORGANTOWN, W.Va.- Downtown Morgantown hosted its annual Spring Arts Walk in the historic district Friday giving artists’ the chance to show residents the many different side of the city’s art scene.
Along with having many pieces of art from known area artists, and some unknown artists, there also had live entertainment. Participants were able to stroll through downtown and visit more than forty businesses featuring local artists.
“Well I think history is preserved through works of art because its creating something out of nothing really, and its showing what was in our minds at the time, and what was in society and giving us a mouth piece really for future generations,” said Jennifer Powell, an artist located in Morgantown.
Participants could enjoy a night of music and art at each location and a variety of unique dining choices to top of the night.
