Thursday evening a panel was held on renewable energy and jobs, at Plumbers and Pipefitters in Morgantown.
The event was hosted by Delegate Evan Hansen and Working Families Morgantown Chapter.
Members of the panel included Delegate Elect, Evan Hansen; Doyle Tenney, DT Solar LLC; and Shane Ferguson, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 596.
They discussed how to bring more jobs to West Virginia.
This focused on solar related jobs.
“One of the things I ran on when I ran for the House of Delegates, was to diversify the economy and to bring renewable energy jobs to the state. This is a strategy that I know will work because it has worked across the country and it has also worked in surrounding states,” said Evan Hansen, 51st House of Delegates.
Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 152 is located at 100 Richard Avenue.
