First Exchange Bank donates to Bonnie’s Bus

Monongalia and Preston

Friday afternoon, First Exchange Bank on University Avenue in Morgantown made a donation to Bonnie’s Bus.

This was a check worth $1,370.00

During the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, First Exchange Bank pledged to donate five dollars for anyone who opened or switched to a new checking account.

They also donated twenty dollars for anyone who opened a new certificate of deposit.

“Through donations, we’re able to provide these services and not turn anyone over forty away. It also shows that the community cares. We all have a mother, sister, friend, cousin, coworker, that we care about, and it is just also a way that the community uplifts each other and shows support and concern for each other,” said Jenny Ostien, WVU Cancer Institute.

Bonnie’s Bus travels to all 55 counties in West Virginia between mid March and mid December to screen women for breast cancer.
