In Morgantown on Saturday there was an art walk along the Mon River Rail Trail in the Wharf District with participation of local restaurants and businesses.
Artisans were set up selling art works and jewelry. Kids stations were spread out along the trail offering many activities for them to partake in, as well as some live music.
“We’ve loved having the local artisan, we have some amazing ones in our communities, some great skilled people who get to show off their crafts. So, that’s been a great partnership to be next to the rail trail, and have people doing an art crawl,” said Ella Belling, Mon River Trails Conservancy Executive Director.
A portion of the sales of the works of art will go to help keep up the maintenance of the rail trail. The Mon River Trail offers a 48 miles of trail for people to explore.
