MORGANTOWN, W.Va – Monongalia County Commissioner Tom Bloom discussed the updates on roads in the county.

Governor Jim Justice sent a message that states he is hoping to make a big announcement in two weeks about funding for roads in the area.

The commission has committed to waiting until the end of June to take action with needed repair work.

“Hopefully, in a positive sense, the governor will come through with some funds that we have requested, and some roads that we need immediately done. And if not, come June, we will meet, and then we will take immediate action. So hopefully we don’t have to go that way,” said Bloom.

Bloom says he will be meeting with Preston County Commission and DOH members to discuss concerns within the county.
