Main Street Morgantown packed the streets with chocolate enthusiasts, as the 19th Annual Chocolate Lovers’ Day kicked off.

Throughout the day participants paid only $5 dollars to receive a map of local businesses to complete for a fun day of experiencing new baked goods and what local businesses had to offer at thier location.

“Morgantown is really like about unknown foot traffic sometimes. A lot of people come in out of nowhere, it’s hard to really guess how it goes on, but local events are always usually good, ” said Enze Bond, co-owner of Poppy & Daisy.

“This is the biggest turnout that we’ve ever had for a local event and we were honestly quite surprise that we ran out of chocolate a couple of time on Chocolate Day,” said Sarah Bond, co-owner of Poppy & Daisy.

With close to a dozen businesses involved, statistics show the daily sales rate more than doubles for those involved in Chocolate Lovers’ Day.
