Morgantown businesses deemed safe after evacuating due to ruptured gas line

Maple Drive has been deemed safe to residents and businesses to return to the area, according to the Star City Volunteer Fire Department.


ORIGINAL – 4/29/19 5:00 p.m.

Some businesses in Morgantown have been evacuated due to a gas line break in the area.

According to the 911 Center, businesses off of Maple Drive, Donahue Drive and Apple Lane have been evacuated due to risks associated with a main line break. Dominion-Hope is onsite fixing the break, but it unknown when it will be fixed, according to officials.
