Monongalia and Preston

KINGWOOD W.Va –  Over the next two days, Preston County commissioners will be interviewing individuals for the position of County Administrator.

Current admnistrator, Kathy Mace, will be retiring July 1, after serving the county since April of 2007.

It has been narrowed down to eight candidates after 25 applications were submitted.

This will be a continuation of Monday’s scheduled commission meeting.

“So hopefully, the process moves smoothly. Like I said, we were really blessed with some really good candidates, both from inside the county, and outside the county,” said Don Smith, Preston County Commissioner.

Commissioners say they will have selected an individual for the position by Thursday, May 16.
