Monday, representatives of the National CASA CEO met with state and local representatives in Morgantown.
CASA is a national program that provides critical support for children in the foster care system.
Representatives say the goal is to continue to obtain support for the state organization and seek alternative ways of funding the program.
“National casa has a strong commitment to all of our state organizations because we know that in order for us to serve the over nine hundred casa programs in the united states, we really have to have a strong commitment to those people in the state organizations to provide that support to the local entities that are doing the majority of the work with our kids,” said Paige Beard, Senior State Development Officer.
State representatives say their focus is to support local programs and continue to expand and develop CASA programs throughout the state.
