Scholar hotel group opened a new hotel in Morgantown on Monday.
This is located where the old Chestnut Boutique Hotel once was on Chestnut Street.
The Scholar Hotel features 41 rooms, a business center, workout facilities, a lounge, and a marketplace.
Everything has been remodeled and an additional suite has been added.
The new property is now accepting reservations.
“We’ve been the chestnut hotel for the past five years. We got purchased in december from a company called scholar hotel group. We’re excited to bring to Morgantown, some West Virginia decor and hopefully give everybody a little taste of the mountaineer spirit,” said Shanna Biser, General Manager.
The hotel is situated a half of a mile from the West Virginia University main campus, and one and a half miles from Mountaineer Field.
