This weekend, the STIHL Timbersports Pro-Lumberjack competition is being held at Mylan Park in Morgantown.
Forty of the best lumberjacks in the country will be competing.
The King of Lumberjacks, Mel Lentz, will be taking part.
Current and five time United States national champion, Matt Cogar, will also be there signing autographs.
The professional series will consist of three chopping events and three sawing events.
The event will all be held indoors.
“I love it here in Morgantown. We’ve had this event for three years here. It’s always temperature controlled, we’re indoors, don’t have to worry about the rain like other events. I just love that. The crowds are always energetic. They really fire you up, so I just love being here,” said Matthew Slingerland, competitor.
Doors are open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are sold at the door and are $9 for adults and $3 for children ages 6 to 12.
