MASONTOWN W.Va – The tenth annual Domefest is being held at Marvin’s Mountaintop this weekend in Masontown.
This is a three day celebration of music.
It was started as a college park community based music festival at the University of Maryland.
The event brings together musicians and music lovers.
Attendance has grown from 500 to two thousand people.
The main genre featured at the event is funk, with some rock mixed in.
Many festival goers spend the night camped out in tents and RVs.
“The people who come out, are really the reason I look forward to doing this festival every single year. They’re so supportive of us, and they’re so helpful. There’s a lot of mutual respect between myself and the rest of my team, and the fans who come out to make this festival so special,” said Jeremy Schon, producer of the event.
Domefest will be happening all throughout the weekend and gates to the festival close 2 p.m. on Sunday.
