U.S. Cellular holds 11th annual Black History Month art contest

U.S. Cellular is holding its 11th annual Black History Month Art Contest.

The store has partnered with the local Mountaineer Boys and Girls Club.

Kids are encouraged to research and learn about black role models and then draw a piece of artwork in recognition of that person.

The artwork will be displayed in the stores throughout the month.

The public will have an opportunity to visit the stores and vote on their favorite work of art.

“This is actually my favorite contest that we run here at U.S. Cellular because it gives them an opportunity to study anyone from your history of business people, to athletes. So it kind of gives them a little bit of insight on our history,” said Kylee Linger, retail sales manager.

U.S. Cellular will provide gift cards to the top three vote getters.
