Tuesday, the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties announced its pace setters for this year’s campaign.
This was to show how much progress has been made so far and how much money has been raised by several organizations throughout the community.
They revealed this amount to be $227,855.00.
The campaign kicked off in early August.
The theme this year is ‘Change Starts Here.’
“It’s huge. I mean, for us to be able to give to all of the agencies in the community and the organizations that rely on the funding for us to be able to give to everyone. The people that are in our community, your neighbors,” said Andy Walls, 2019 Chairman of the United Way Campaign.
The United Way has a goal to raise $1,480,000.00 for the 2019 campaign.
