Each year the United Way of Monongalia and Preston County sets a campaign goal to reach to help other non-profits in the area.
This year the campaign goal is to reach a total of $1,480,000 in funds. So far, 84% of the campaign goal has been reached.
Chief Executive Officer at the United Way of Monongalia and Preston County, Brandi Helms, said United Way has high hopes of receiving the additional 16% by Thursday, January 31 which is when the campaign will come to a close.
“I think it’s so important to meet the goal, because we provide so many services to the community. These agencies that apply to the United Way for funding provide lots of great some of the basic human needs that we think about in terms of food or shelter,” said Helms.
