Volunteer recruitment happy hour held for 2018 Morgantown Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Monongalia and Preston

A volunteer recruitment happy hour was held for the Morgantown Walk to end Alzheimer’s on Thursday evening.

This was open to the public at the Crab Shack Caribba and a way for Morgantown area residents to learn more about the 2018 Walk to End Alzheimer’s Planning Committee.

Tables were set up with information about committees and opportunities that are available for all skill sets to be involved.

“We’re looking for all of the support that we can locate,  and we know that there are a lot of people in the area that are directly impacted by Alzheimer’s. We thought that this would be a good opportunity for them to come out, and learn more about how they can get involved,” said Debbie Spiker, walk chairman.

If you have questions or are interested in volunteering for the walk being held on October 14th, you can call the North Central Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association at (304) 599-1159.
