Thursday afternoon, the Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia presented seven non-profit organizations with grants.
The recipients were Christian Help, Girls on the Run of North Central West Virginia, Libera, Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center, Pantry Plus More, The Shack Neighborhood House, and West Virginia Botanic Garden.
The funds given out on Thursday totaled $14,500.
The mission of this organization is to build a community of women philanthropists and create a legacy to address the needs of women and girls in North Central West Virginia.
“This organization is open to all women to join, so the more women that we get involved, the more help that we can grant out into the community, so it’s really been exciting in the growth that we’ve had over the past few years,” said Beth Fuller, Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia.
This year, the Women’s Giving Circle of North Central West Virginia hit the $50,000.00 mark in grants awarded since its inception in 2014.
