The West Virginia Department of Agriculture started ‘Ag Safety Days’ in Morgantown on Thursday.
This is being held at the Monongalia County WVU Extension office, and will continue to be held on Friday.
The event was an opportunity for growers in agricultural facilities to have safety training, and is also a chance to get required certification credits for a pesticide application license.
“It provides them with a small class setting, so that they can not only just hear the information and learn, but they can feel free to ask questions and get specific information for their area of industry,” said Jessica Stricklen, WV Dept of Agriculture.
Over the two days, courses will be offered covering a variety of topics, including ATV safety, respiratory protection, and tractor safety.
