West Virginia University is celebrating Graduate Student Appreciation Week.
The celebration began Monday morning at the Mountainlair, College of Law, Health Sciences Center, and Engineering Sciences Building.
Cake was passed out to students, along with t-shirts, pins, and other items recognizing graduate students.
Some highlights of the week will include self care workshops and a family movie night.
“And what’s really wonderful, it gives them an opportunity to get together and know that we really appreciate all of the hard work that they do for this institution and for our students,” said Joyce McConnell, provost of WVU.
A social event will be held on Saturday evening to close out the event.
