Newsweek has named WVU Medicine as one of the top 1,000 hospitals in the world.

This ranking lists the best hospitals in 11 countries. 226 hospitals were chosen from the United States, with WVU Medicine being the only one chosen from West Virginia.

This, I think, is a big deal for the state of West Virginia, and the people we serve, to know that there is an organization that is able to take care of everything from primary care to the highest level of specialty care, right here at WVU Hospitals in Morgantown. said Albert Wright, President and CEO of the WVU Medicine West Virginia University Health System and West Virginia University Hospitals. “So, we’re thrilled to be on the list. it‘s just a very exciting day for WVU Medicine.

The rankings are published online and in the March 29 issue of Newsweek Magazine.
