A website ranked Gordon Gee of West Virginia University as America’s best college president.

This was released by Great Value Colleges, which compares several aspects of different universities.

The final ranking of the top 50 presidents has identified a list of college presidents that have had and continue to have stellar careers.

Gee has been the president of more universities than anyone in the U.S.

He was initially the president of WVU from 1981 to 1985 and returned in 2014, after serving at various other universities.

“It’s a humbling experience to be a University President. To have some recognition for some of the work you do is something I really appreciate and I’m just very proud of what we’re doing at the university,” said Gee. “You know, any one of those rankings are rankings not about the individual, but about the results, and the work of a tremendous number of people over a long period of time. Both here and certainly at my other institutions that I’ve served,” continued Gee.

The website says a characteristic of Gee that put him at number one is his consideration of every student’s needs and making it a point to visit them where they live, learn, and socialize.
