WVU student arrested after police allegedly find marijuana, mushrooms

A West Virginia University student was arrested Wednesday after university police said they found marijuana and mushrooms in his dorm room.

Giordano Bowers, 18, allegedly had 3.5 grams of marijuana, two grams of marijuana wax and 11.6 grams of mushrooms, along with $245, a set of digital scales and small plastic bags, according to the West Virginia University Police Department.

Bowers said “there may be” information on his cell phone related to drug transactions, as well, police said.

Bowers is charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.
