The United Way of Harrison County is asking residents to give from their hearts on Valentine’s Day.
The organization funds 25 non-profit agencies throughout the county. Each agency works to fulfill a need in the county, from providing healthcare to teaching residents how to read.
The 2018 fundraising campaign concludes at the end of the month. This year’s goal was to raise $850,000.
Directors said they are $65,000 away from reaching this goal.
“We are doing a social media campaign today because it is Valentine’s Day, and we are asking all of our donors, past or present or anybody that hasn’t given yet, to please give from their hearts because what they give does matter to the residents of Harrison County,” said Tina Yoke, executive director.
