A Harrison County Elementary School is doing its part in giving back to the community.
Lost Creek Elementary 5th grade students used a haunted house project last year to raise more then $200. On Thursday morning, those students presented a check for $250 dollars to “The Rosenbaum Family House” in Morgantown.
Rosenbaum provides a home away from home for while their loved ones are in the hospital.
“I’ll tell you the decision to pick the Rosenbaum house,” said Academic Support Teacher, Lauren Coffman. “I think became personal once they realized that there are families in our building that have actually utilized that service up by Ruby Hospital. “They were very excited and they didn’t have a question, or a doubt donating money to the Rosenbaum house.”
The other half of the money raised will go to the Harrison County Humane Society.
