M.O.R.E. hosts volunteer event at Kelly Miller Community Building

Work at the new Kelly Miller Community building in Clarksburg is underway, and Thursday morning volunteers were helping to get the job done.

The Monticello Ongoing Revitalization Effort or M.O.R.E. hosted the event.  Volunteers from groups like MVB bank, the neighborhood, and the new center itself came out to help.

The building is already home to one tenant, and most foundation work is completed.  The group focused on painting, patching and cleaning up the space for future community projects.

“There will be a weight room that’s opened to the community, and also, you know, programming for youth and adults.  A great place that all different community members from all ages can come,” said Amy Baker, MVB Bank Vice President for Corporate Communications and Marketing.

Work is still ongoing at the building.
