Downtown Elkins has been taken over by exhibits and fall festival activities for the 82nd annual Mountain State Forest Festival.
Throughout the week, this year’s Maid Silvia Alia Figueroa has been visiting schools and local businesses with her royal court. On Thursday afternoon, Maid Silvia visited Elkins City Hall, and Mayor Van Broughton presented keys to the city to her and her maids of honor.
Maid Silvia will be crowned Friday during the coronation event at Davis & Elkins College.
