Marion County woman arrested after police find explosive device in home

Rivesville, W.Va. - Rivesville Police arrested a Marion County woman after finding an explosive device in a home.

On Wednesday morning at just before 3 o'clock, officers responded to a home on Main Street in Rivesville to serve an arrest warrant on Jackson Yeager, 25.

Officers said when they showed up, they found an explosive device belonging to Chelsea Stewart, 26.  The State Police Explosive Technician was dispatched to the scene and detonated the device, according to Rivesville Police.

According to the criminal complaint officers said, "the device looked like a stick of dynamite with a wick coming outside the device."

While searching the home, officers said they discovered marijuana, meth, three loaded guns, and drug items.  

Stewart has been charged with possession of a destructive device and distribution of meth.
