Anti-opioid rally furthers the national pro-cannabis rally’s mission

Marion

West Virginia Women for Cannabis sponsored an anti-opioid/pro-cannabis rally at Palantine Park in Marion County.

The rally acted as a sister rally to the statewide movement to educate the public on the benefits of cannabis and medical marijuana.  Event Coordinator Rikki Butler said the event not only educates but gives the public a chance to get involved politically by registering voters.

“Being able to vote, in that aspect, and making a call on what happens in your state, especially if you’re going to be left in the dark, I think it’s important to try to get on top of that,” said Butler.

Magicians, interpretive dancers, professional and political speakers, and vendors came in to support the cause.
